Ichthyornithes
Ichthyornithes is an order of avalian endemic to Ailand. The order is a close relative to Continental birds ([class] aves), but represents an idenpendent evolutionary branch.
The ichthyornithes order is endemic to Ailand, and is the dominant flying taxa on the island. The name fishbird stems from the order’s close adaption to the island’s freshwater environment, and largely aquatic diet. Fishbirds are characterized by having teeth in the middle of their lower and upper jaw, while the jaw tips are covered in a beak. Similar to opposite birds ([class] enantiornithes) and deerbirds ([order] dichornithes), fishbirds have claws on two fingers, highly mobile shoulder joints, and the articulation of the shoulder bones is the reverse of that of Continental birds.
